How thermal screening works.
A low-cost, portable test that uses a thermal camera and artificial intelligence to find early signs of breast cancer — with nothing touching you and nothing entering your body.
From heat to a report.
A growing tumour needs extra blood supply, which warms the tissue around it. Thermal screening picks up those small temperature differences — often before a lump can be felt.

AI looks for unusual heat and blood-vessel patterns. A doctor then reviews the result and explains it to you.
How it compares with mammography.
Thermal screening isn’t a replacement for mammography. It is a gentler first step that more women can take — and if anything looks unusual, mammography or ultrasound confirms it.
| Feature | AI thermal | Mammography |
|---|---|---|
| Uses no radiation | Yes | No |
| No touch or compression | Yes | No |
| Painless | Yes | No |
| Suitable for women under 40 | Yes | No |
| Not affected by breast density | Yes | No |
| Portable for camps and workplaces | Yes | No |
Screening that starts at 18.
Mammography is usually offered from 40, and it is less reliable in dense breast tissue — which is common in younger women. Thermal screening is designed for any age and any breast density.
Who should get screened
- Women aged 18 to 80+, whatever their breast density
- Younger women, for whom mammography is not usually offered
- Anyone with a family history of breast or ovarian cancer
- Anyone who would rather not be touched or exposed to radiation
On the day of your test
- Skip deodorant, powder, lotion and oil on your chest and underarms.
- Avoid exercise, hot showers and caffeine for 2 hours before your visit.
- Wear a two-piece outfit so changing into a gown is easy.
- If you can, book a day outside your menstrual period.
